The Problem We Saw

Animal shelters run on volunteer labor. Without volunteers, animals don't get walked, socialized, or the individual attention they need to thrive and find homes. But coordinating those volunteers? Most shelters are stuck with spreadsheets, paper sign-up sheets, and group text threads that nobody can keep track of.

Coordinators spend hours every week chasing down coverage, sending reminders, and manually tracking who showed up. That's time taken away from the animals and the mission.

What We Built

VolunTails is a volunteer coordination platform designed specifically for animal shelters and rescue organizations. It handles shift scheduling, group management, messaging, and volunteer engagement — so coordinators can focus on the work that matters.

We didn't build a generic volunteer tool and slap a paw print on it. Every feature was designed around the way shelters actually operate: rotating shifts, specialized roles (dog walkers vs. cat socializers vs. medical teams), and volunteers who need flexibility because they're giving their free time.

VolunTails is built by Craftloop, a veteran-owned software company based in the United States. We build purpose-built tools for industries that get overlooked by big software companies — trades, compliance, nonprofits, and now animal welfare.
